Nike’s boundary-pushing N. 354 line gets its hands on an ’82 icon again, creating this Air Force 1 Experimental that truly embodies its name. It’s still unquestionably an Air Force 1, but, sole aside, it’s completely changed. A pink synthetic — inspired by sports research labs — covers the uppers and midsole, as if it’s protecting the materials underneath. That’s not all, though. There are extended pull tabs and a second set of laces — toggle, this time — that further distances this pair from those that graced the courts in the past.
