Adidas ZX 7000 OGWhite, Lilac & Green
Continuing its 30 year celebration of Torsion, adidas introduces pair number three from the capsule: the ZX 7000. Once again staying true to its OG mesh and durable suede make up, this pair is finished in white with pastel hits of lilac and green appearing throughout the mixed-material upper and midsole. Loved by both sneakerheads and runners upon its 1989 release, the performance-focussed silhouette helped shape the direction of the German brand; utilising an external heel cage to help lock in the heel and support the achilles with the all-important Torsion bar appearing underfoot. Bridging the forefoot and heel to allow both to operate independently of one another – a tech feat that’s still utilised to this day – the significance of this tech-forward model cannot be understated.
