After witnessing MJ’s hard-hitting, unshakable approach to the game, Tinker Hatfield – the legendary designer behind Nike Jordan’s wonder years – looked towards the skies when designing the Air Jordan 5, using the P-51 Mustang fighter jet as inspiration. Distinctive thanks to its shark tooth-like adornments on the sole and the high-vis 3M tongue, the sneaker, first released in 1990, was more than fitting for His Airness.

Returning in true-to-OG form, the iconic Fire Red colourway graces the silhouette this time around. Its pure white base is accented with hits of fire red and black and has the all-important, much-demanded Nike Air branding on the back, just as it did upon its debut.
